Here's a couple pictures to satisfy and make G-reg jealous. I bet you wish you had a set of these instead of those weak White Industries cranks : ) They should be going on the Pugs next weekend. Looks like a good chance of snow for then as well. Just in time.

Ooooh, good call. Is there some Phil Wood around to mount those on? If that's going on the granny mounts, something with the ability to adjust the chainline would be nice. Are you going to use any kind of tensioner or chainguide
Or maybe a short cage road rear dérailleur for a short chain with lots of tension. 8speed with a friction shifter on a Paul Thumbie would be failsafe too.......Damn I need my own Pugs....With a Maverick fork....

Yes 28 would be perfect for snowbike. Where is your name on 2008 Arrowhead?

Dave...where's your name for the Arrowhead????

Made in the UK? ;)

Nice cranks. Since Greg's crank is defunct, I think he should "let you use" the Phil Wood BB for a bit. I'm sure he could find a nice UN-52 BB to use on his fixie for the time being. :)

Greg - Phil Wood bb is on the way. I was thinking of a toothless chainring on the bigger part of the spider. Kind of like Brooks' CX setup. No tensioner or guide unless there are some real problems. I already have a Dura Ace 9-speed Paul Thumbie setup on the rear. No need for a suspension fork on the Pugs :)

Charlie/anonymous - My name isn't on the Arrowhead list since I haven't signed up yet. The long and short of it is that FedEx said they couldn't make an exception for me to take the time off. Some other drivers that have seniority already took that week off, so I'm gonna wait and see if I can get someone to cover my shifts once it gets closer to the race. We are supposed to be hiring a bunch of new drivers and hopefully it will all work out. If not I'll be there on Saturday and Sunday to volunteer with the gear check and whatever else Pierre could use help with. What do you think of going to Wyoming in January to race?

Brian - Did Trent give you some lovin' for me :)

You know that I did!

Hey...I am thinking positive thoughts about you gettin' time off from fed ex to do the mega-A.H. 135, but you can't be serious about using that one little 'girly' chainring up front? I know those clown bikes are heavy, but that looks like a granny ring? Plus there aren't any hills within about 150 miles of where you live!!!! :)

Charlie - I think I'm gonna add a 32t ring to the outer position for those flatter sections :) I'll just manually shift from one to the other during pee breaks :)

Dave, you still riding to work? The snow and cold are adding some time to my commutes.
