Rick and I went out to Turtle River yesterday for some Nine Mile training. Rick brought his 98 Gary Fisher Kaitai. A very sweet bicycle. I have dibs on it when you decide to retire it Rick : ) Anyway we did three laps in the 90+ heat with the heat index at 106F. Very sticky. Rick got the Kaitai dialed in and ready to rock at Nine Mile. Watch out Trent : ) Here's a picture tribute to the bikes and riders of old : ) Enjoy.

Dave; Are you in for sure at Wausau? Are you camping? What are you going to do for support? So many questions :)...I have several friends from Duluth going but they are all going for the 12 hours and so after 10:00 PM they and their support, I fear will turn to the dark side and I will be left alone...Charlie

Charlie - I will for sure be there. Yes I am camping. My lovely wife and the wives of other Brown Bears will be supporting. If you need help with support you are more than welcome to come over to our pit area. I don't want to speak for everyone else, but my wife and myself would be happy to help you out in any way we can. Send me an e-mail. I lost yours and can't find it on your blog.

Love that banner pic, Dave.

What do you mean "watch out Trent"??

Thanks for taking the picture Trent!

I just meant that after riding with Rick at TR. You and him seem similar in speed. I should've said watch out Brian :)

You better watch out Vino. Trent and I might kick out your knees before the race. Good luck riding for 24hours like that.

Good to hear that Paddy! I'm gonna walk to my bike this year at the start instead of taunting you to run faster :) I predict you and Dallas go one-two in the solo single speed category. Two weeks and counting!
