Check out this forecast for the next ten days up at the Icebox. Here's the link since blogger won't let me hyperlink it.

Looks like the start line will be a cold one again this year. -25! Ouch. I can't wait : )
Edit: The low is now listed at -42! This could get interesting : )

It could be worse. Here's a picture from one of the sponsors : )

That's quite the picture there.

Don't lose any fingers or toes to frostbite.

The word crazy comes to mind.

Kick some butt Vino. Can't wait to hear about AH from you and Doug.

Having 8-9 fingers would make you look tough though....or like a shop teacher.

Holy Frostbite Batman! Be safe out there and tear it up.

Holy crap! -42 on Monday morning! I'm already planning a trip to the local clothing store. And yes, I'd be happy to share a room and save some money. I'll be driving up in my rented (and insured) car on Saturday. See you there.

Hey Matt,

I'll be up there on Sunday morning. I can only offer up some floor space again. There will already be 4 North Dakotans in there :) See you then.

The -42 must have been a typo. It's now at -24. Not that -24 is much warmer, but at least we won't lose extremities. I hope :)

So, what are you using for chain lube ? I didn't really care back in the day(it was 55F today) because I never really got to far out of G/F. I'd maybe care for a buck-and-a-quarter in the middle of nowhere.

I use a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and ProLink :) Just kidding. I just use ProLink. Nothing fancy.

Wow! Good luck out there. Looks like you have the gear. You'll be OK.

I'm not really buying that the guy in the picture is really biking through snow up to his handlebars. But I guess stranger things have happened.

Damn, Dave, I see big, big, big WCRS points in your future.

And I do think that a missing nose or finger or two will make you look tougher.

Have fun.

I hope you have life insurance so Jen doesnt have to pay out of pocket for your funeral expenses. You are a married man now, its the responsible thing to do.

Yes Heathrow. We actually just increased our life insurance a couple weeks ago. I didn't tell them I was doing this race though :) I hope they still cover me.
