Hope everyone had a good Fourth of July. I know I did. I ran the 10k race up in Grand Forks in the morning. At a blistering pace of 56:15 : ) 61st out of 88. Not too bad for zero running in months. I think the guy who won did it in 33 minutes. That'll give you some perspective as to how slow of a runner I am. Anyway, I just wanted to finish something this year. Mission accomplished. Had some good burgers and beans in the afternoon and watched the fireworks go off as a rain storm rolled into town. Crazy stuff. Here are a couple of fireworks pictures I tried to capture. I especially like the last one. Happy fifth of July!

Wow, nice pics. Any Digi cam I've had couldn't pull that off

Are your legs/knees sore after running a 10k with no running training this year?

That's weird you're a slow runner...you're always so good at those LeMan's starts. :)

Greg - Thanks. My camera has a fireworks setting on it that works decent. I think they would be even better with a tripod.

Brian - My leg muscles are sore, but no knee problems. I was walking a little funny at work this morning :) LeMan's starts are my specialty :)

Training hard I see for your action packed summer.
I had never heard of the 412 gut check race you had listed and when I did look it up I immediately was interested. I think that I missed the registration though.
It sounded like a hoot.

Hey Dallas, I figure I need to step it up a notch and add some ultra running to my race calendar for next year :)

Yeah I had put that gut check race on the calendar, but I too missed the registration. I don't think I could've gotten the time off from work anyway. Maybe we could do it next year? Three weeks and counting till Nine Mile!
